Dr. Chrissie Williamson's Nutritional Genomics Institute (NGI) and its innovative OmicsDx Genome Panels are reshaping our approach to healthcare and nutrition, recognizing the absence of a one-size-fits-all solution. Through groundbreaking research and personalized genomic analysis, NGI empowers patients to understand how their unique genetics, biochemistry, mindset, and risks influence their health. With a focus on sustainable, personalized lifestyle changes, NGI is at the forefront of emerging technology and medicine, empowering patients to take control of their health destiny.

Dr. Chrissie, a nationally recognized Certified Nutritional Specialist (CNS) and Licensed Dietician/Nutritionist earned her Doctor of Clinical Nutrition (summa cum laude) from MUIH and her master's degree (summa cum laude) in human nutrition from the University of Bridgeport. Based in Richmond, Virginia, she envisioned integrating a multi-state primary care physician's office with genomic, phenomic, and functional medicine specialists, seamlessly blending with laboratory data and appointments, and brought this vision to life at GenMedx.

GenMedx's medical care team, under the leadership of Dr. Chrissie, offers expertise in functional medicine and primary care, extending NGI's capabilities to address your comprehensive health needs. Dr. Chrissie collaborates with the medical care providers at GenMedx to ensure the ultimate patient experience.

Lisa Fouladi  MS, dip ion FDSC, BANT, CNCH

Clinical Genomic Nutritionist

As an experienced functional nutritionist living in Switzerland, Lisa helps manage NGI's European presence. She helps clients break free of low energy, chronic pain, and other long-term health issues so they can return to vibrant health and enjoy the freedom it provides. Lisa's approach is unique and science-based, integrating the disciplines of clinical nutrition, integrative and functional testing, and genomics to uncover the root causes and systemic imbalances within her clients health. With coaching she provides the support they need to implement on her personalized programs.

Matthew Montee CFMP, PA-C

Doctor without Borders at NGI

Matthew Montee continues to be a trusted and valued member of the NGI team and is now on the medical team at GenMedx. Matt is a licensed Physician’s Assistant in California, Idaho and Hawaii and is also a Doctor without Borders. Matt is a Certified Function Medicine Practitioner with a background in Orthopedics/Sports Medicine. He received his formal medical training at Cornell University and is now a modern medicine man offering consultations with a holistic approach to recovery. His treatments consist of IV infusions, peptides, ozone, prolozone, and other Intelligent Medicines customized for everyone from the professional athlete to those looking to amplify their wellbeing and immune systems.

Robyn Witt

Office Manager for NGI, GenMedx, OmicsDx and SNPed

Robyn brings to our practice over 20 years of experience in the customer service field. She enjoys learning new ways to put her organizational skills to work to create smoother processes for a better workflow. Robyn has an eye for detail and is a natural problem solver; she utilizes these skills to ensure that patients have the best care possible. She enjoys working with a team and believes that everyone brings something special to the table, bringing balance and creative energy to the workplace.

Michelle Gottfried CNS, MS, LDN

Director at OmicsDx and Senior  Clinical Genomic Nutritionist

at NGI; Clinical Care Team Member at GenMedx

As a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS), Michelle creates personalized nutrition plans for a wide variety of conditions. She is an expert at incorporating labwork, medical history, and nutritional genomics to approach her clients unique individual needs. She feels this is the missing link between poor food or lifestyle choices and a truly personalized diet and lifestyle plan for optimal health. As a former marathon athlete, she has core speciality in sports nutrition and performance and enjoys helping athletes discover new ways to beat competition. Overall, she encourages her clients to understand their potential and "why they are the way they are," to then become the best version of themselves. Michelle is a former accountant and excels at data collection and aggregation making her an excellent leader in the omics and technology space.

Nikki Owens MA

Medical Assistant at GenMedx

Niki joined GenMedx in 2025, bringing warmth, dedication, and a passion for patient-centered care. Since starting as a virtual assistant, she has grown into her multifaceted role as Office Administrator, Medical Assistant, and Phlebotomist in her home office in Georgia. At GenMedx, Nikki is a valued medical assistant and team player. Niki is known for her genuine care and connection with patients—many feel like extended family, and she considers it an honor to walk alongside them throughout their health journeys.

A proud Georgia native, Niki is happily married to her best friend and is the proud mother of an amazing son. When she’s not at work, you’ll likely find her cheering on the lacrosse field, enjoying road trips, reading a good book, or spending time with friends and family.

Michael Velez MD, MTM

Medical Director at GenMedx

California, Virginia, Maryland

and Florida

Dr. Michael Velez serves as Medical Director at GenMedx. He trained at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and received his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Velez brings a strong background as a health technology executive, innovation consultant, and ‘doctorpreneur.’ He earned a Master’s in Translational Medicine from UC Berkeley and UCSF, where he contributed to the development and patenting of new medical technologies, including a novel vacuum-force laparoscopic grasper designed to minimize tissue injury.

Dr. Velez mentors startup founders through the Cedars-Sinai Accelerator, consults with multiple health tech companies, and advises advanced practice providers (APPs) as a physician collaborator. Drawing on his diverse experience across patient care, human-centered design, and medical innovation, he is committed to transforming the outdated sick-care model and advancing precision healthcare that makes wellness more accessible, efficient, and effective.

Working in close partnership with the Clinical Director, Dr. Velez helps shape and implement the next generation of medical care at GenMedx. Together, they integrate cutting-edge diagnostics, systems medicine, and personalized interventions to deliver care that is both deeply human and data-driven—setting a new standard for what medicine can achieve.
