How long does it take to get an appointment? Not long! Medical appointments can be next day, nutrition appointments are typically 2 weeks out and Dr. Chrissie is by referral only.
-
How long does the testing process take?A genome test takes 4-6 weeks to process. Other tests like a Nutreval or DUTCH test can take anywhere from 3-4 weeks while basic lab work typically takes 2-3 days. Once we have your genome on file, we can run any genome panel when requested.
-
What is the average time it takes to feel better or lose weight?Dr. Chrissie has a pretty strict rule. Although most start to feel better right away, she likes to have you in and out within 6-9 months. It is an intensive process that requires a commitment from both sides. This commitment and process is why we are so successful.
-
Do you have to commit to the annual membership? No! If you would like to "try before you buy" and get a feel for your provider while understanding just how we do things differently here at NGI, visit our Testing Packages Page under "services" or try our MiniDietDx Intro consult. We want to make sure that you are comfortable with our services.
-
If I am at GenMedx, can I also see Dr. Chrissie or the nutrition team?Yes! If you start at GenMedx, you will not only have the opportunity to have insurance reimbursed medical services, but you will also have the opportunity to see our genomic nutrition team, have access to OmicsDx genome panels and if needed, see Dr. Chrissie.
-
Do you process insurance? At GenMedx we will process insurance for labs and specialty labs only, not for appointments. Payment is due at the time of service. We will provide a super bill with diagnosis and procedure codes for you to submit to your insurance provider and will assist with any follow up inquiries. Coverage varies per carrier but in most cases, 50-80% of all medical and nutrition expenses are reimbursed. Our medical team also assists with prior authorizations for medications.
